A Lesson in Marxism
Apathetically, the AI consumes the wealth of human knowledge, experience and pain.
By the time the knowledge has been tokenised and indexed, ready for generative use, the truth behind it has been lost. AI is not alive. It feels no pain or empathy and the tokenised data are just numbers in a database - as we already are. Music streaming giants claim to pay royalties to artists whenever their track is played, but who pays royalties to those that create history whenever AI regurgitates it?
The trials and tribulations of human history are just another revenue stream to those indiscriminately harvest it to fuel the fires of their generative AI engines. And they will continue to emotionlessly harvest our existence until we have no history left.
